11 Week Update
How far along? 11 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +1
Maternity clothes? not yet, but I'm happy about getting some hand-me-downs from Lydia and a friend at work for whenever I start needing them
Sleep: still tired all the time
Best moment this week: receiving flowers from my awesome in-laws!
Movement: not yet
Food cravings: nothing in particular, just trying to eat healthy
Food aversions: still not a fan of sweets
Gender: not sure yet, but I'm starting to think girls (identical = same gender)
Labor Signs: none
Belly Button: in
What I miss: still missing the energy, but at least I got my x-mas shopping done
What I am looking forward to: next ultrasound appointment on the 21st

Milestones: Shared the news with our family and some friends this week. First ultrasound last week: twins is definitely a big milestone!

We are having.....
TWINS! I guess we need to change the name of our little blog to reflect multiples. Any suggestions on blog names?We had our first ultrasound today and much to our surprise and excitement.. we are having twins. They look to be identical (sharing a placenta). Both are healthy and we heard both strong heartbeats! Double the trouble, double the fun. In the last few weeks we have talked about how fun it would be to have twins, but never in our dreams did we think it would happen!
We are still letting it sink in, but here are some pictures of Babies A & B Shirzad due July 4th!

8 Week Update
How far along? 8 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Breaking even so far
Maternity clothes? I don’t have a bump yet, but I did buy a Bella Band for when my regular clothes start getting tight
Sleep: Very tired all the time and sleeping 10 hours a night as often as possible
Best moment this week: Realizing that next week is a 3-day work week!
Movement: Nothing yet
Food cravings: Odwalla juices
Food aversions: Ice cream (so weird considering I usually love ice cream)
Gender: no inclination one way or the other yet
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button: In
What I miss: Having energy and drinking Diet Coke
What I am looking forward to: Our first ultrasound appointment in two weeks and telling our family and friends
Weekly Wisdom: No wisdom here, just trying to enjoy this time and not get too inpatient

Baby on Board!
Well, by now you know our exciting news. We are thrilled!
I wrote this down a few weeks ago when we found out (before I forgot everything that happened):
I had been debating about taking a pregnancy test for a couple days because I was having a few symptoms, but I wasn’t really sure if I was just being too analytical and imagining things. M was convinced that the first month of trying would work, but I was pretty sure it would take a few months to happen.
I woke up early the next day (October 27th) and took the test. It was a big, fat POSITIVE! I think I uttered “holy crap” starred at it for a few minutes and then went back to bed. M asked me in his sleep where I had been and I said, “I took a pregnancy test,” really nonchalant. “And?” he said. I told him he was right, I was pregnant. M was super excited right away and I was still in shock. Happy, but shocked. I decided to take another test (I had bought a pack of two) just to make sure. I took that one and again it was positive.
We decided not to tell anyone right away. For now, it is our exciting secret!
